Printed Cells using an extrudable, shear-thinning hydrogel.

This scientific illustration was created to show the 3D printing of cells in a protective alginate (green), recombinant protein (blue) and calcium (yellow) hydrogel. The scientific work was looking at a two part shear-thinning hydrogel that could be used to encapsulate cells and print them into 3D networks for down-stream culturing.
